Sunset Stop Reviews

Here are some reviews on Sunset Stop, from the Holiday Lettings / Trip advisor site .

"Lovely stay"

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The log fire made the place so cosy, the beds were comfortable and the place was clean

"lovely place.....wood burner was great..."

A great little hide way. .....the owners were really nice...but kept themselves to themselves as the property is attached to their own home....will definitely use again ....

Note: Sunset Stop has an open fire, it has never had a wood burner.

Welcoming, cosy & lovely place to stay.

Ideal place to stay for a trip to somerset, run by a very welcoming and friendly couple, John & Claire. Nice clean decor with all the amenities close to hand, we slept very well and can't fault where we stayed. Very close to the A303 for perfect access to trips of interest in Somerset. We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in going back. Thanks very much.

"Spacious self catering accommodation"

For those like us, who hate bed and breakfast, this gives you the luxury of space and privacy. It has a cosy lounge, comfy bedroom and big shower/bathroom. The kitchen is as described, basic, with just a portable one ring cooker and microwave, but ideal for breakfast and lunches - go out for dinner as there are loads of great pubs nearby. The description from the owner is very honest - the garden is overgrown - but it has very happy chickens, a contented donkey and lots of butterfly's. It's close to the cultivated gardens at Tintinhull, if you prefer neat lawns! We had a relaxing 3 night stay - highly recommended.

Update: The chickens and donkey have gone. There is a large terrace, which is ideal for you to sit out in the sun or enjoy a barbecue

"Peaceful tranquility"

We had an excellent stay in this cottage, we had the luxuries of a real fire to cuddle up in front of, power shower and comfy bed. From the busyness of work this May Bank Holiday break was fantastic, myself and partner had a relaxing time. We visited other places; this accommodation is central to a lot of places. You will really benefit from this location....driving is a must to create the ease to tour around. John and Claire were very accommodating and we hardly saw them. We would recommend this accommodation to others...especially a couple.

"Fantastic place to stay, highly recommended"

Myself and my partner had a fantastic bank holiday weekend at the Sunset Stop, the flat is self contained and faces the garden which backs on to some amazing scenery. We had an amazing time and the facilities that Sunset Stop had meant we wanted for nothing, all of the rooms are a large size and are quite spacious. I really struggle to find anything negative to say. We rarely saw the owners (which was nice - no offence! :) ) which meant we literally had a break away and was able to enjoy each others company, it's definitely suited for couples looking to escape the pressures of normal life and have a relaxing stay. The village was picturesque and the main town was not far to travel and easy to find with plenty of things to do. Overall I would definitely recommend the Sunset Stop to any one looking for a breakaway, the facilities, the scenery and overall the price means it's perfect to go anytime of year.
